Ride Bilbao collects guided and self-paced cycling tours run by local partners, so you can compare them in one place before you book. Each tour lists its distance and climbing, and we group them by bike type, difficulty, duration and place. Use the filters to narrow down a short e-bike ride, a gravel day or a hard mountain route, then follow the link to the partner to check dates and book.
Start with the numbers rather than the name. Climbing matters more than distance: a 40 km day with 180 m of ascent is a very different ride from 62 km with 1,180 m. Our difficulty groups use those figures, so look at the metres first.
Then pick the bike. Gravel tours suit riders who like quiet tracks and accept loose surfaces, road tours reward steady climbers, and the e-bike ride is the easiest way to see the city with little effort.
Finally, think about time. Options run from two hours to three days.
Spring and autumn are usually the most comfortable seasons for long days in the saddle: mild temperatures and enough daylight for a full-day route. Summer gives the longest days, but midday heat can be hard on big climbs, so early starts make sense.
Winter riding is possible at lower levels, though days are short, roads can be wet and high mountain passes may be cold or closed. Check the weather forecast a few days before and ask the partner what happens if conditions turn bad.
Bilbao has its own airport, a metro, trams and local trains, so reaching a city start point without a car is straightforward. Meeting points differ by tour and are given on each booking page, so check them before you plan transport.
Some tours, such as the coast road and the Pyrenees camp, are in other parts of the region and may need a longer journey. Allow time to travel the day before if the start is early.
Bring a helmet if you prefer your own, padded shorts, sunglasses, a light waterproof and enough layers for a cold start. Carry water and some snacks even on days with a lunch stop.
Check on each tour page whether bikes are included and what size range is offered. If you ride your own pedals or saddle, ask the partner whether they can be fitted. For multi-day routes, pack light and confirm what the van carries.
Every tour is grouped by distance and climbing, so you can judge the effort before you click.

Choose from a two-hour city ride, a half day, full days or a three-day camp.
Partners operate and take bookings for each tour, and you check details on their page.
It depends on the tour. Easy tours stay at up to 40 km and 300 m of climbing, while hard tours go beyond 1,100 m in a day or run for several days. Check the figures and the difficulty group before choosing.
This varies by partner. Check the booking page for the bike type, sizes and whether e-bikes, helmets or pedals are provided, and ask the partner if you want to bring your own equipment.
The Greenway Easy Day, the Riverside Gravel Intro and the Old Town E-Bike Ride are the easiest, with short distances and little climbing. The e-bike ride is the shortest at about two hours.
Each partner sets its own weather policy. Check the booking page before you pay, and ask about rescheduling or refunds if heavy rain, wind or snow make riding unsafe.
No. The partner who runs each tour handles booking, payment and changes. Our links take you to their page to check dates and availability.
Most tours start in or near Bilbao, while the coast road and the Pyrenees camp are in other areas. The exact meeting point is shown on each booking page.
