The Pyrenees form the mountain range along the border between Spain and France and are a classic setting for long road climbs. The Pyrenees Three-Day Camp is the only tour here: 320 km and 7,400 m over three days, with van support, hotel nights and a mechanic. It is a hard trip for fit riders who can ride long ascents on consecutive days. Compared with the day tours, it removes logistics, since luggage and repairs are handled, but it demands more preparation and recovery. Expect cool air and changing weather at altitude, even in summer.

Why ride here

The Pyrenees offer long, sustained climbs and quiet mountain roads. Riding them over three days lets you link several passes without returning to the same base each night.

When to go

Summer and early autumn are the most dependable months for high passes. Snow can linger on higher roads into late spring, and weather can change quickly at altitude, so carry a windproof layer.

Guided or self-guided?

The camp is organised with van support, a hotel and a mechanic. It suits riders who want the route and logistics handled so they can concentrate on climbing.
